Viewing: April 2007

Well, hopefully we've seen the worst of this winter, and what a winter it turned out to be. Of course, I am sure our Association includes some ex-Prairie folks who are bound to say we've had a mild winter.

The RV Show at Tradex in February turned out to be a good one. We signed up some new members, which is always nice. The next Show at Heritage Park in Chilliwack is on March 15 - 18. I need a volunteer with a truck to help me pack up our equipment on Sunday the 18th and return it to our locker.

Since I last wrote, we lost a popular member of our Association. Joe Smith is sadly missed by all, and we hope his wife Vivian can find some solace in knowing that Joe had many friends in the Association.

Our Spring Rally is filling up quickly so please sign up as soon as possible and avoid being disappointed. We hope to have a couple of interesting speakers to give a short talk. We will of course have all the usual activities, including bean bag baseball, craft sale, cake walk, mature walk, bingo and wine and cheese. The wine and cheese will be on Friday evening. If you swim, or just like to cool off in the
water, the park has a great indoor pool.

I've been asked by some non-members if we go on rallies to Mexico or California, etc. No, we only have two rallies a year and to local parks. On a personal note, I am guilty of not knowing too many members by
sight. If you see me anytime, please give me a dig if I don't seem to recognize you.

We are starting to plan a Fall Rally, and we hope to have more news about it in the next Issue of this magazine.

Don't forget Spring is only a few weeks way. . . mine and probably your favourite time of year. All for now. There will be one more R.V. Times Issue before the Spring Rally.

There is a rumour going around that the Spring Rally is cancelled.  I would like to put an end to that rumour, and tell you the Rally is going ahead as scheduled.  Sign-up now because space is limited, and we only have a few spots left.
