Hi Folks,

Well here's hoping you all had a great summer. As I write this letter [August 6th] the summer is in full swing. As you all know it was a long time coming but it is sure making up for it if today is an example.

Now for the business at hand. The news yesterday reported that all the RV parks were full, which indicates a very healthy season for the parks and contrary to the report by a prominent newspaper.

The next item for consideration is our annual election of officers. This will take place on October 18th at 10:30 a.m. The place will again be Traveland on the Langley Bypass. Traveland always provide their facility for our meeting and in addition we are given a very nice lunch which is very much appreciated by everyone. The election committee consists of Barrie Clark 604-466-5432 and Barbara Tilley 604-538-3857. You are encouraged to put your name forward for any of the positions on the
Executive. They all run for a period of one year. You can also nominate someone else at the meeting but that person must have indicated that they are prepared to run. But first ask yourself if you would like to
run.

Fall Rally at Camperland: Sept 12 to 14
By now you would have booked so all you do is turn up at 1 p.m. or later. The folks in the office will tell you which is my pad and we will issue you with all you need. The fee you paid includes the camping, two
breakfasts and one dinner. The chef is the same as last year and the meals were great so be prepared for some good eating. The usual events will take place like 50/50 draws, raffle, beanbag baseball, cake-walk, craft sale, walk to the falls, bingo, wine & cheese.

Fall Weekend at Burnaby Cariboo: October 3 to 5
The price is the same as at Camperland and includes one dinner and one breakfast. This is a more relaxed weekend just like at Fort Langley which turned out to be very enjoyable. As I am anxious to know how many are booking for this event, please book as early as possible. The time for arrival at Burnaby will be 1 p.m. or later.
