Happy 2009 New Year to all reader of this magazine.
Once more we are wrapped in darkness as we wish for longer and warmer days so we may try out that Christmas gift, you know, the new RV that Santa left parked out front. Of course the smart ones are packing up or have already packed and left for warmth and sunshine.
We are anxiously awaiting the Earlybird RV Show where we can smell the newness of the travel trailers and motorhomes and sip a cup of java while day-dreaming a trip in that swanky new unit. One can only think that they too should have ventured to the great southern sunshine... ah maybe next year.
Since we are on the topic of RV Shows, don't be bashful, let us know if you can give us a hand manning the RVOABC booth for a three or four hour shift by calling Jan Clark or myself Bill Wright . The Abbotsford Earlybird RV Show times are as follows:
- Thursday, January 29 10 am - 9 pm
- Friday, January 30 10 am - 9 pm
- Saturday, January 31 10 am - 9 pm
- Sunday, February 1 10 am - 5 pm
We are fortunate to have Past President Roy Grognet on the Executive this year lending a very appreciative hand.
While most are absorbed in contemplation of the coming year, your Executive has been busy working on the season's up and coming outings. First and a great kickoff to the season is our Spring Rally to be held at Burnaby Cariboo RV Park on May 1, 2 and 3. Don't be left out of the fun and games, so fill out an application today found on page 64 of the RV Times. As I write this letter in December we have many members already signed up so get a move on. Space is limited but the fun isn't.
