Viewing: March 2009

Greetings RVers,

I trust that all is well and any sore backs have been taken care of after all theat white stuff we call SNOW happended. I'm sute that many of our readers think we in the Greater Vancouver Area have nothing to crab about, but over two inches of snow for us is two inches more than we need.

The Earlybird RV Show was fantastic for us, picking up many new members including a couple of new sponsors. We cannot thank the following members enough for the generous help over the four day show: Jim & Mary Lavery, Leo & Doris Yelle, Roy & Joyce Grognet, Don & Kim Smith, Pat Caffery, Trenor, Elizabeth & Barb Tilley, Robert & Maggie Wilson, Joyce & George McCluskie, Jan & Barrie Clark, Bill & Diane Wright.

Coming Events:
Just around the corner is the next RV Show, Chilliwack Humdinger RV Show & Sale, held on March 19th-22nd, in the Heritage Park buildings in Chilliwack, right on the freeway. Don't be bashful, it's a lot of fun, so pick up the phone and give Jan Clark a call, or me  and let one of us know the time you could be available to work our RVOABC booth.

Rally Talk:
Burnaby Cariboo RV Park:
Our Spring Rally happening May 1st - 3rd this year at Burnaby Cariboo RV Park, gives us a great kick-off to the 2009 RV travel season. For those who enjoy the water, they have a very nice pool and hot-tub for your pleasure. So don't forget to bring your bathing suits as skinny-dipping is not allowed.  Also, management is extremely helpful and will gladly park your unit for you in the site, if needed. Space is limited and I am very pleased to see how many have already signed up. Don't miss out. Fill in the application from on page 64 of the RV Times today and join in the fun and comradery of the Club.

Fort Langley Camping:
We are good to go at Fort Camping on June 12th-14th. We would like to include a Saturday dinner; further information to follow in the next edition of theis magazine. We are also able to have a campfire, so if anyone has some wood they can bring, it would be put to good use. The turnout was excellent last year, and as always, space is limited, so get your names in early to avoid disappointment.

Winners for the additional one-year membership draw for signing up at the RV Show: Fraser & Dorothy Field of Deroche. Congratulations Fraser Dorothy!
