Greetings RVers,
Another year has almost past us by as the Snow Birds head to a warmer climate in the south. The rest of us will enjoy a West Coast winter much better than some other parts of the Country.
My request for best available sunny weather was one of the finest for our Camperland Rally at Rosedale. All enjoyed and for those who missed out make sure you register early as space can be limited. A Special thanks to the executive and spouses for all their help. Thanks to Devika & kitchen staff for taking care of our hungry group, great job Devika. Also someone in our group managed to take the top Bingo pay-out at the final round of Bingo, way to go. Many great prizes won by our members who also had the opportunity to attend a seminar on Your Skin & You given by one of our club member Bea Kinnear. In the afternoon another club member Sharon Shaw held a class on Card Making, enjoyed by many who made some beautiful cards. We also enjoyed a craft fair & flea market along with the cake walk and the notorious Bean Bag Baseball game.
SNOW BIRD RV SHOW held Sept. 24th - 27th was quite busy and could not have been handled without the help of the following volunteers - Jim & Mary Lavery, Richard & Carol Arnason, Robert & Maggie Wilson, Rick & Cathy Hughes, Ken Bjorge & Barb McCurdy, Rick & Catherine Labrecque, Pete & Anne Vermeer, Barrie & Jan Clark, George & Joyce McCluskie and Bill & Diane Wright. Many thanks to Richard & Barrie for setting up the booth that took on a new look with a new jade green carpet donated by Gerry Sylvester the carpet guy. We also congratulate the winning couple for the draw for a additional 1yr. free membership, ROBERT & SHERRY MOSEANKO of Chilliwack. This draw is for New Member sign-up at the RV Show.
Our final rally for the year was held at the Burnaby Cariboo RV Park in Burnaby with some swimming, hot tubing and even a tour of a spanking new motor coach by first time rally goers and new members of RVOABC, Lyle & Janette Johnson. We started off with a meet & greet on Friday evening at 7pm after all had signed in and received their name tags so we could get to know the new members and new members get to put a name to a face. On Saturday evening we all enjoyed Pizza of many different kinds with some left over taken for brunch next day.

Our Annual General Meeting held October 17/09 saw a turnout of 62 members with no changes on the executive. After the meeting was adjourned all enjoyed lunch with coffee and soft drinks provided by Traveland. A big thanks to Dale Howes for his hospitality.
