President's Corner July/August 1012

Greetings RVers,
What a great start to the season with our Kick-Off Rally held at Burnaby Cariboo RV Park in Burnaby. The fun and enjoyment never stopped the whole weekend making it, as usual, the only way to start the RVing year. Harriet, the manager at Burnaby Cariboo RV Park, doing what she does best by making each stay more memorable than the last. Diane and I then took a short trip across the border to Ferndale and while there spending time in the Holiday Trails RV Park. We did the Casino thing along with road trips to LaConnor and the malls for shopping. After the shopping we had to make more casino stops so money could be won for more shopping, well you know how that goes. A good time had by all.

We are now hoping for favorable weather during our Camp Fire Rally, I say this because it's 2 weeks away and we would like to add its happenings to the RV Times if time permits.

The "AGM", our Annual General Meeting is scheduled for 10am Saturday October 20th, 2012, so please mark your calendars. And yes, I know it's a long way off, but we need you or someone you know to come forward and stand for a position or to assist. We are going to be in need of a Vice President to take over the rallies as Don steps down this October. We will also need someone to help and/or take on the Commercial Accounts, Treasurer and Secretary positions. Fresh blood is needed along with new ideas to build a strong and healthy club.
