President's Message - January 2011

Best Wishes to all our club members and readers of the RV TIMES for 2012.

Yes, 2012 is here, or maybe not depending on the delivery of the magazine in your area. Some of us wonder what the year’s journeys will be while others have all bases covered to the point of the coffee shop they will arrive at a given day. If you have a favorite place you like to go don’t forget to book early as campgrounds can fill up rather quickly. If you don’t care about electric, water and sewer for a night or two one can stay at most Walmart’s or even a Casino should you be traveling in the USA. If you are thinking of going to Vancouver Island for a few weeks this is almost a must to have your campground site booked especially from June 15 – September 3rd after that it tapers down but be sure you are in before a weekend especially if the weather is good.

New Website

Be sure to check out and use our awesome website it does everything except scratch your back. Yes, long awaited but well worth it and I am sure many are already using it as I have seen a 5th wheel trailer listed in the Buy & Sell for sale and probably many other things by this time. At this time of writing we have already had members renewing using our newly acquired PayPal system allowing you to pay by Visa or MasterCard making life a little more simple or maybe for some more complex, but be assured we have done our best to make it as painless as we can so spread your wings and give it a try, we are sure you will like it. We welcome the new members that have chosen to sign-up on line and even the Rally Goer’s are registering this way, fantastic! Many long hours have been put in by our Webmaster "Jerry" who is available to help any that may encounter any problems along the way not likely to happen as we have hopefully taken care of any glitches.

Next time you are on the site be sure to browse "Buy & Sell", "Gallery" and "Forum" where you can enter a discussion, reply to a question or ask one, please do. If you should have an item for sale the "Buy & Sell" is a good place to start and just maybe you will spot an item that you have been looking to buy. This is for members by members there is no access unless you are a registered RVOABC Member.

COMMERCIAL MEMBERS we have opened a new door allowing for new accounts, renewals and payment online with much more on the horizon.
